Before financing a resale, compare the purchase price, down payment, closing costs, annual ownership expenses and the full cost of borrowing.
Eligibility, rates, required down payments, fees and repayment terms depend on the lender, borrower and ownership being purchased. Request a current written quote and review the lender's disclosures before applying. A calculator result is not a credit decision or financing offer.
Questions to ask the lender
- What are the interest rate, APR, repayment term and total payments?
- Which closing or origination fees are paid upfront, and which are financed?
- What credit, income, ownership and security requirements apply?
- Are there prepayment charges, late fees or other conditions?
